Bonzour, I am Nelcy Pierre Louis.
I am a aspiring criminal law barrister from Rodrigues Island. I hold a First Class LLB from Middlesex University and have completed the Bar Practice Course. As the winner of the 2026 North East Intercollegiate Moot and a TEDx speaker (The Rodriguan Life Experience in Mauritius), my legal research examines how colonial systems shape identity and justice.
Grounded in my roots, I champion Rodriguan Creole against institutional linguistic bias. Inspired by Fanon’s Black Skin, White Masks, I advocate for the global recognition of Rodriguan Creole—ensuring young Rodriguans embrace our native language and identity as our ultimate strength.
